Our Story
RMC Academy of Theatre Performance was founded by brother and sister duo Rachel and Matthew Croke in 2017. Since opening its doors RMC has become a dedicated dance family and one of the most upcoming theatre dance schools in South Yorkshire. The professional dancing duo trained and performed together in Sheffield from a young age before embarking on their own professional careers.
Both bring a wealth of experience to the school. Rachel trained at Bird College in Kent graduating with a First-Class BA Hons degree in Dance and Theatre Performance. She went on to succeed in a variety of professional contracts before pursuing her teaching career and is now a Fellow Member of the International Dance Teachers Association. Matthew trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey and has since enjoyed a successful career in London’s West End with leading roles in Grease, Wicked, Singin’ in the Rain, Chicago and as the title role Aladdin in Disney’s West End Production Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre.
It had always been an ambition of theirs to work together professionally and opening RMC was the perfect opportunity to make that dream a reality.
